• Schedule Type: Monday to Friday Day Shifts, Scheduled On-Call
• Salary: $19-$25 per hour + Commissions

Job Description:

• Full-time
• Rodent and wildlife control for residential and business properties
• “Pest proofing” is repair work on homes and buildings
• Insect control exterior and interior, residential and commercial properties
• Provide estimates for custom jobs
• Perform pest-related clean-ups
• Regular use of a variety of hand and power tools
• Regular work is performed on ladders, roofs, and in confined spaces
• Regularly solicit business from new potential clients
• Maintain communication with our great customers and office
• Provide excellent customer service

• Have a Post-Secondary Diploma or equivalent
• Current holder or able to pass the Ontario Exterminator License Exam

• Valid Driver’s License with Clean Abstract
• Be able to work independently
• Have flexibility with hours
• Ability to Lift 50lbs
• Prior work with Wildlife or insect pests is an asset
• Be able to work at heights or in confined spaces
• Be able to pass a criminal background check

We provide safe and effective Wildlife & Bird control services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to apply your creativity and problem-solving mindset with Carpentry or Construction skills in a fast-paced environment.

You are already a certified Wildlife and/or Pest Bird Technician or are in the early stages of a Carpentry career or an experienced journeyman. You are proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment and ready to apply them to complex wildlife problems. Your core values embrace trust, respect, and confidentiality, all of which you can apply daily.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect buildings and outside areas of property to detect signs of wildlife &
• Rodent intrusion.
• Provide estimates for custom jobs
• Humanely remove and exclude wildlife from homes and structures.
• Repair wildlife damage and wildlife-proof entry points, including locations on
• Roof, in siding or fascia, or foundation.
• Educate clients on how to prevent nuisance wildlife problems
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Work in various weather conditions.
• Operate in confined spaces, including attics and crawlspaces.
• Use of power/hand tools, insulation/restoration equipment.
• Job assignments may include positions such as crouching, squatting,
• bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing up & down ladders, carrying ladders
• and other equipment.
• Perform pest-related clean-ups
• Regularly solicit new business from new potential clients
• Comply with all company health and safety policies
• Work within the Solace Pest Solutions territory
• On-call support once per month
• Other pest-related tasks

Requirements:

• High-School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check
• Proven ability to safely work at heights.
• 8-hour shifts – Primarily weekdays with flexibility with hours.
• Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Comply with all Solace Pest Solutions policies and procedures, as well as Federal and Provincial legislation and regulations.
