Wildlife Control Services: Skunks
The striped skunk is known for its distinctive white stripe markings on its back extending from head to tail. Fully grown skunks weigh an average of 12 lbs.

Background: Skunks
The striped skunk can be found throughout all of Ontario and although they are not true hibernators, they can be dormant for extended periods of time during the winter months. Because of the terribly offensive odour they secrete, skunks are one of the most challenging nuisance animals to exclude in our industry.
Preferred Environments
Although they mainly live in the wild, skunks have adapted very well in urban areas. They are continually seeking food and shelter and can become extremely invasive, annoying, and troublesome. Skunks can spray 6 to 10 meters with great accuracy and they have great confidence in defending themselves against threats.
